Funkadelix takes the familiar world of Friday Night Funkin’ and gives it a clear twist: every track now has lyrics. Instead of the usual instrumental beeps and baps, you hear full vocal lines that match the rhythm and the story. Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Daddy Dearest, Pico, and Skid & Pump all get new dialogue and attitude through these lyrics, so each duel feels more like a real rap battle with stakes and personality. The mod keeps the original premise—Boyfriend trying to win Girlfriend’s heart while her dad and others stand in the way—but the added words make the journey more engaging and easier to follow. At the same time, every song is locked to very hard difficulty, so you need sharp timing and quick adaptation to the vocal flow. The result is a mod that feels both familiar and fresh: same arrow-based gameplay, but with a lyric-driven challenge that rewards practice and focus.
FNF: Funkadelix

FNF: Funkadelix is a Friday Night Funkin’ mod that remixes every base-game song with full lyrics and new instrumentals instead of the original beep-boop style vocals. You still play as Boyfriend with Girlfriend cheering you on, facing Daddy Dearest, Pico, and Skid & Pump across the first three weeks—but each track now has real lyrics that add a fresh, narrative layer to the rhythm battles. The story stays true to the original: Boyfriend is fighting for Girlfriend’s heart, and each opponent brings their own attitude and backstory into the duel. What sets Funkadelix apart is the way the added lyrics tie the music and the story together, so you are not only matching arrows but also following the words. Every song is set to very hard difficulty, so your timing and your ability to ride the lyrical flow are put to the test. Whether you are a long-time FNF fan or new to rhythm games, Funkadelix offers a distinct, lyric-driven take on the classic formula.

Story and Characters about Funkadelix
You play as Boyfriend, the main protagonist, with Girlfriend by your side. In the Tutorial and early duels she cheers you on; later she becomes a playable character in the High track. Your first real opponent is Daddy Dearest, Girlfriend’s father and the Week 1 boss—a tall demon with a golden watch and a trench coat who is not shy about his threats. In Week 2 you face Skid & Pump, the Spooky Month duo in skeleton and pumpkin outfits, bringing a lighter but still challenging vibe. Week 3 pits you against Pico, the mercenary from Pico’s School, hired by Daddy Dearest to take you down. Each character has remastered sprites and, in Funkadelix, lyrics that reflect their personality—from Boyfriend’s confident one-liners to Daddy Dearest’s aggressive taunts. The mod also introduces small visual details, such as Daddy Dearest’s pupils changing color with each note you press, tying the rhythm action to the characters on screen.
Songs and Updates about Funkadelix
Funkadelix covers the base game’s first three weeks with lyric versions of Tutorial, Bopeebo, Fresh, Dad Battle, Spookeez, and Philly Nice. In addition, the mod adds Have My Heart (BF Mix) and Have My Heart (GF Mix) to Freeplay, so you can play both versions without story pressure. Updates have continued to polish the experience: the BF Mix was added to Freeplay in June 2024, and the GF Mix plus UI port followed in July 2024. All tracks use new instrumentals and full lyrics, and the difficulty is consistently very hard. If you want to get better, use Freeplay to learn each song’s pattern and lyric flow before attempting a full story run.
Tips for Beating Funkadelix
- Use Freeplay first: Learn the rhythm and lyric flow of each track without the pressure of a full story run. Have My Heart (BF and GF Mix) are great for extra practice.
- Follow the lyrics: The vocal flow often matches the note patterns. Listening to the words can help you anticipate when arrows will come.
- Keep combos: Maintaining your combo helps your health meter and gives you a buffer for the hardest sections.
- Stay calm on very hard: Every song is set to very hard—expect dense patterns and fast sections. Take breaks and tackle one week at a time if needed.
